Four years of blogging and one year old baby later....I have run out of free photo space for this blog...so...until I figure out what avenue I want to go...I will have to email picutres. :(

Walmart trip with Mommy

4 years!

Today Allen and I celebrated our fourth wedding anniversary! We both had to work, but it was still a special day.  Allen surprised me with a beautiful flower bouquet, which Sylvia was very excited to show to me. I came home from work today, and it was the first thing she had to show me! He also made me dinner in the crockpot before he left for work.  What an amazing man!  I bought him the boxed DVD set of all the original Star Trek movies. (Kind of a gift for me too...since we both really enjoy Star Trek.)  We're so blessed to be together.  Our's is truly a match made in heaven.  I thank God every day for sending me Allen.  He is my soulmate and I look forward to the rest of my life with him by my side.

Indian Summer

It was so warm out tonight, we sat on the front stoop and Sylvia was greatly amused by the beautiful red leaves from our neighbors tree. 

And of course...at the end of the day we brush our teeth!

Rainy Afternoon

New Toothbrush

We have been brushing Sylvia's two teeth with a finger toothbrush that has little plastic nubs on it, but it hasn't really been doing the job.  So we bought a different brush with actual bristles.  Sylvia loves it! Speaking of teeth, Sylvia is working on two teeth.  One of her front teeth and one of her side top teeth.  The one in the front is very close to coming through, we can see it just below her gums.  She has been cranky and running a low grade fever, so we have had to give her Tylenol today.

Band Day

Today was Band Day downtown.  There were 30 bands from all over the state and Illinois that came to march down Broadway.  Sylvia and I met up with Michelle and Cohen and watched about 10 or 11 of the bands march by.  The kids loved it! We all had to go though because it was nap time for both babies.  It was  so nice outside.  It was a great afternoon!

New Words and New Shoes

Sylvia continues to amaze us with the things she can say.  She isn't very consistent with saying the same words over and over, but we do hear new ones almost every day.  Sunday, she said water! She has a new sippy cup with a straw that she loves. During church she held it up to Caleb and said "Water!" clear as day.  She is also saying dog and look, repeatedly.

We bought her a pair of tennis shoes this weekend and she LOVES the shoes.  She held onto her shoes and fell asleep in the car holding on to them.  It was one of the cutest things I've ever seen, but it was too dark to take a picture.

Silly Girl!

One thing for sure can be said of our little girl. She has a great sense of humor.  She makes us laugh on a daily basis.  She was being so silly with the basket, she was making herself laugh!

A Gift

Several of my coworkers knit.  Today, Sheila brought in an adorable light pink hat for Sylvia.  These pictures were very hard to snap because Sylvia dislikes wearing hats very much, but she looked super cute in it, don't  you agree?

We are trying to teach her how to blow kisses.  She has the putting her hand to her mouth part, but we still have to work on the rest.  It's cute to watch her try though! We discovered this past weekend that she loves pasta with spaghetti sauce, and now we have a sneaky way to get her to eat carrots. When they are mixed in with the pasta, she doesn't care and gobbles them up! Pasta and cottage cheese are her two favorite foods right now. (Well, besides bananas and peas...she still loves those too!)
